DELAYED BUT NOT DENIED
I apologize for the delay. However, I will continue to blog in an effort to inform you about classroom assignments and/or activities.

YEARBOOK
It is almost that time! We submitted the final pages Feb. 21, 2011. We are anticipating their arrival.
However, if you would like to purchase one,YOU MAY DO SO. The cost is currently thirty-five dollars.
In the meantime, we are preparing to distribute the next NCTHS newsletter March 28, 2011. The students are currently working on their articles for the March 25th deadline. I also have two yearbook staff members preparing our annual yearbook slide show. It is scheduled to take place April 5th at 2:30. Thanks to everyone who has supported and/or purchased a yearbook!

ENGLISH 10
Their will be a quiz regarding the Thomas Paine questions and discussion last Friday. We will also proceed to discuss the mock graduation exam exercise. We will also review the AL Direct Writing Assesment procedure and standards. The goal is to prepare them for the writing assessment.

ENGLISH 9 PRE - AP
I will return their Frankenstein test. We will proceed to view the 1931 version of Frankenstein. We will proceed to complete Laying the Foundation material associated with Pre- AP. Each student will select their next and last required reading. It will not result in an essay ,but each student will have to type an assignment regarding their selection.

How familiar are you with the classic Romeo and Juliet? This week we will begin reading and discussing the classic within class. We will identify the characters before proceeding to the actual play.
We will also discuss William Shakespeare and his relevance in today's culture. I look forward to a great
discussion and wonderful participation.
