Dear Parents,

It is hard to believe but it is school time again!!! I am thrilled to have your child in my classroom this year. This is an exciting time within the Huntsville City School system. We have a very unique experience this school year. I am sure that it will prove to be a successful one. In order to have a successful relationship, communication is vital. Therefore, it is very important that you play an active role in your child’s education.

I invite you to call or email me during my first period planning (8:00-8:46) if you have a question or concern regarding your child’s progress in my class. I will do my part by keeping you informed by updating my blog weekly and posting information to edmodo weekly.

I will be attaching a copy of my course syllabus to edmodo.com.  Your child has already created an account within edmodo, so you and your child will always be informed regarding assignments within the classroom. This will be our “bridge year”.  As we follow the guidance of our leaders, I have no doubt that we will cross this bridge with success. I truly consider it an honor and privilege to be your child’s teacher this year, and I look forward to a successful year.
Sincerely,

Ms. Kimberly Cotton
